HKoffee is a plug-and-play IoT system for precision brewing in specialty coffee shops, designed to sit on a bar without adding visual noise. I led the project end-to-end, from concept and CMF to industrialisation, directing the engineering team remotely under a fixed public grant, so every material and manufacturing choice was also a budget decision. A modular architecture keeps components accessible and upgradeable: repairability was a requirement, not an afterthought.

HKoffee est un système IoT plug-and-play pour l’extraction de précision dans les coffee shops de spécialité, conçu pour s’intégrer au comptoir sans bruit visuel. J’ai piloté le projet de bout en bout, du concept et du CMF à la voie d’industrialisation, en dirigeant l’équipe d’ingénierie à distance dans le cadre d’une subvention publique à budget fixe : chaque choix de matière et de fabrication était aussi une décision budgétaire. Une architecture modulaire garde les composants accessibles et évolutifs : la réparabilité était une exigence, non une réflexion après coup.

Strategic Takeaway

Restraint is a product of constraints. A quiet, modular, repairable object differentiates more than another piece of hardware that looks like technology.

La retenue naît des contraintes. Un objet discret, modulaire et réparable se distingue davantage qu'un énième appareil qui affiche sa technologie.

Outcome
HKoffee was developed, industrialised and launched to market in H2 2024. The project covered the full path from concept and system design to production, working with external engineering teams, and is protected by a patent HKoffee a été développé, industrialisé et lancé sur le marché au second semestre 2024. Le projet couvre tout le parcours, du concept et de la conception du système jusqu’à la production, en collaboration avec des équipes d’ingénierie externes, et fait l’objet d’un brevet.
